HOW TO USE SHOPBOSS

A. Shopboss Interface

When you open Shopboss you will see a list of all your store orders. Orders are read from your Shopify store in real time. Each row contains one order and all orders contain the following information:

  1. Shopboss order entry number - from most recent to oldest (new orders appear at the top of the list)

  2. Order details

    • Order number - if you click this information you will be directed to the order page on your Shopify store

    • Order date

    • Order phone number

    • Order status (if fulfilled)

  3. Order products

  4. Order address

    • Street name and building/ apartment number - if you click this information you will be directed to Google Maps

    • Zip code and city

    • Country

  5. Verification button

  6. Verification details

    • Country flag

    • Verification status (more detail on the next section)

    • Notes

Rows with fulfilled orders appear green whereas rows with unfulfilled orders appear white and light grey. This helps you easily identify unfulfilled orders that may need to be verified.

B. Order Verification

Orders can be verified manually or automatically through our API. The next sections cover how to verify orders manually and automatically.

B1. Manual Verification (Free Version)

To verify orders manually, simply click on each address to validate it through Google Maps. When you click on the address it will direct you to Google Maps and do an automatic address search [Watch a video tutorial]. To mark orders as verified, hit the ‘Mark as verified’ button [Watch a video tutorial].

Shopboss provides address validation tips for some countries. If you notice missing information on orders, we recommend getting in touch with customers to complete the information and avoid sending orders to incomplete addresses.

After the customer provides the missing details, we recommend updating the address on your Shopify order page (to go there you just need to click the order number on Shopboss). The changes will reflect on Shopboss immediately. You can then hit the ‘Mark as verified’ button.

B2. Automatic Verification (Pro Version)

By default, Shopboss verifies your addresses automatically through our API, which aggregates the most advanced APIs. There are 3 possible verification states:

1 - Auto Verification: Verified (Green)

If your orders are ‘Verified’ it means that the address is a full match. There is no need to do further action, you can just go ahead and process these orders.

2 - Auto Verification: Partial or Ambiguous (Yellow)

If your order verification status is ‘Partial’ or ‘Ambiguous’ it is likely that one or more details are missing from the address. The most common missing details are apartment numbers and house numbers. In this case, we recommend checking the address manually on Google Maps to understand what is missing and contacting the customer to request missing details.

3 - Auto Verification: Failed (Red)

Usually in this scenario there are multiple incorrect details (eg. street name/number and post code) or typos on the address. This may also happen because the address doesn’t exist. We recommend validating the address manually through Google Maps and contacting the customer to request or confirm details.

After the customer provides the missing details, we recommend updating the address on your Shopify order page (to go there you just need to click the order number on Shopboss). The changes will reflect on Shopboss immediately - if the newly inserted address is correct the order status will automatically change to ‘Verified’.
